Yes, and you're going to see some that were even tested in rhino cages, at kids' parties, and more. These are here right in our carpet store.
Make sure you discuss your needs with the flooring professional. There are, however, some things to consider.
Look at fiber
This will probably be the most significant decision for anyone considering a rug. Fiber is the material from which the yarns are made.
Although there are acrylics and blends, there are five most commonly chosen. Please get familiar with them to know what will work best for you.
Wool is natural, soft, and durable. It's inherently soil resistant but also absorbent. Spills need to be wiped immediately.
As for synthetics, there's the "king of strength," nylon. This floor covering stands up to the heaviest wear! Stain resistance is excellent when a protectant is used.
Polyester is a little less expensive, and it has superior stain resistance. As a result, it's better for moderately busy rooms.
Olefin is budget-friendly and mainly associated with looped styles, like Berber. It's durable and stain-resistant.
Triexta is relatively new but already has a reputation for ultra strength and permanent stain resistance. Of note, triexta was developed by the same people who brought us nylon.
Style is also important
You'll see carpets in many colors, styles, and constructions. But remember that the carpeting you love at your neighbor’s home may not necessarily work for you.
Low pile carpets are more durable and easier to clean if you have a large family with kids and pets. Looped constructions also perform well because of the tightly woven loops. Berbers that have flecked patterns also hide dirt well!
